7 Healthy New Years Habits

Call us crazy, but... we don't really believe in big New Years resolutions.โ  ๐Ÿ™Š

โ

(GASP - we know. ๐Ÿ˜ณ) โ

โ

While New Years resolutions are great in THEORY, usually they become overwhelming and are hard to stick to.โ

โ

Don't believe us? Just check out a gym today, versus on January 21st. ๐Ÿ˜ฌโ

โ

Now, it's not that the intentions behind these resolutions aren't great! ๐Ÿ‘โ

โ

But here at CLEAN.FIT, we believe that making *SMALL* positive changes are much more sustainable!โ

โ

So instead of going too big with your New Year's resolutions, maybe try incorporating a few of these healthy habits instead. โœจโ

โ

๐Ÿƒ Challenge yourself to go on a walk every day.โ

This is an easy start to get yourself moving! Start with 20 minutes a day. If you find it boring, download a podcast you love and head outside. โ โ˜€๏ธ

โ

๐Ÿโ  Try one new recipe a week.โ

Needing some healthy inspiration in the kitchen? Put an emphasis on trying just one new recipe a week! You could search on Pinterest or even sign up for a meal kit delivery. ๐Ÿ˜‹โ

โ

โœ๏ธโ  Take up journaling. โ

This can be whatever feels right for you, whether it means creating lists, brain dumping, or something more structured. Why not take care of your mental health in 2022?โ !โ

๐Ÿ™ Practice gratitude.

At the end of each day write down three things youโ€™re grateful for. They can be small and simple, or big and grandiose. Either way, science has proven itโ€™s guaranteed to make you happier!

๐Ÿ†• โ Try something new.

Challenge yourself! Invite the new neighbor over for dinner or finally go to that boot camp class youโ€™ve been wanting to check out for months. Break up your usual routines!

๐Ÿ“šRead more books.

Substitute 15 minutes that you would normally spend scrolling Instagram to pick up a book instead! Read whatever speaks to you. If you enjoy getting lost in romance novels, do it! (Weโ€™re not judging ๐Ÿ˜‰)

๐Ÿง˜ Take some deep breaths.

Whether you can dedicate five minutes to sitting in silence or just have enough time for 5 intentional deep breaths, carving out some space to focus solely on your breath and relax into stillness really does wonders for the mind, body, and soul!

Let us know below one new healthy habit you're picking up this year! ๐Ÿ’ชโ  Happy 2022 #cleanfitfam!
