SEPTEMBER 2022 At-home Workout


September is Healthy Aging Month, where the focus is on healthy routines to set you up for longevity and vitality throughout your lifetime. While exercise and eating healthy are key components to a long life, mental and cognitive health is also an important factor. Meditation, journaling and even learning new skills all play a part in your overall mental health. Keeping connected in your social networks is also important. ๐Ÿง

Warm-Up
5 minutes: walk (or run) it out. 

Anywhere HIIT Workout 
Perform this cycle twice, reversing order on the second

40-50 sec Forward Lunge
40-50 sec Bodyweight Squat
40-50 sec Mountain Climber
40-50 sec Run in Place
40-50 sec Burpees
40-50 sec High Kick
40-50 sec Hand Chest Press & Row
40-50 sec Sit-Up
40-50 s
ec Bicycles

Rest 10-20 seconds 
REPEAT 2-3x (or 20 minutes)


Cool Down
5 minutes of stretching
Try: Wide Toe Touch, Glute Stretch, Quad Stretch, Side Bench Stretch, Arm-Cross Shoulder Stretch, Overhead Triceps Stretch, Chest-Cross Arm Swing

You can do it! Take a short break during the sets if needed, and then jump back into it.  ๐Ÿ’ช
